Beth Marinez is an East Lansing native and lifelong fan of Michigan State athletics. Furthermore, she has dedicated the past 29 years to Spartan Athletics, with 25 of those being directly to the basketball office, which included overseeing the day-to-day operations of the office and recruiting. More impressively, she has survived the tenures of Jud Heathcote and Tom Izzo. She also worked under other Spartan greats such as: Karen Langeland, Tom Crean, Jim Boylen, Brian Gregory, and Stan Heath. She has been a part of eight Big Ten titles, six Final Fours and one National Championship. She and her family were privileged to have enjoyed so many Spartan moments, games, NCAA tournaments, bowl games, and friendships over the years. She is honored to call so many current and former Spartan staff, student-athletes, and their families’ friends. Beth just recently retired from MSU in May and plans to spend her retirement traveling with her husband, Rudy.
