A 1976 graduate from Arthur Hill High School, and a 1980 graduate of Michigan State University, Rick was a member of the 1978 Big Ten Championship Football team. He joined Equitable in 1982 as a Registered Representative and started his career in the Tax Sheltered Annuity market at Michigan State University.
Appointed a District Manager in 1992, Rick was the recipient of the DDA/DLA Awards for five years. A consistent National Leaders Corps producer, Rick was promoted to Divisional Executive Vice President for the Great Lakes Branch in 1998. He served in this position for 11 years, until his son was born in 2008. Rick’s primary focus was the development of the Retirement Benefits Group initiative in the Branch. Currently Rick’s personal market is focused on professional athletes and coaches as well as school and county employees.
A founding member of the Okemos Community Business Alliance, Rick is the former President of the Michigan State University Downtown Coaches Club and former President of the MSU Varsity Alumni “S” Club. A member of the Saginaw Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors, he is also a member of the Okemos Education Foundation and serves on the executive committee for the Mid-Michigan Area 8 Special Olympics.
Rick, his 2 children, and his wife Nancy reside in Okemos, Michigan.
